Creating the BID management board


There are two vacancies to fill on the Ulverston BID board and nominations are now invited for BID levy payers to represent Retail and SMEs.

The board decides how the BID levy income will be spent to benefit Ulverston.

The founding Ulverston BID Company Ltd management board was elected at a public meeting on July 8th 2015. There are 3 board members for each of 5 categories of businesses paying the BID levy. Each board member is a volunteer and receives no payment for taking up the position or for any of the work they do.

The current board members are:

Large business: Trevor Thistlethwaite - Siemens; Jacqui McCloy - Tritech (Treasurer); Mark MacIntosh - Forge Europa

Small business: Anita Garnett - Ulverston Brewing Co; ; Chris Nelson - Trafalgar PR (Chair)

Retailers: Gavin Knott - Appleseeds;  Michelle Scrogham - Pure

Hospitality: Roger Chattaway - Farmer's Arms; Jan Hancock - TownHouse B&B; Sam Iskinazi - Fourpence Cafe;

Charities & Schools: Representative of Ulverston Victoria High School, ; Janet Heffernan- Sir John Barrow Primary School.
